PROBLEM SUMMARY : Worn ball mill slurry in-feed chute
SOLUTION : Devcon’s Wear Guard High Temp 11490 was used as wear resistant lining to replace the wear plates on this ball mill in-feed chute. Expandable metal was tack welded to the chute. The surface was then sandblasted to a SP5 finish and chemically cleaned using Devcon’s Cleaner Blend 300 19510. Wear Guard was applied using a trowel and smoothed using a paint brush and MEK solution to provide a wear resistant barrier to the metal.

PROBLEM SUMMARY : Worn fan blade
SOLUTION : Devcon’s Titanium Putty 10760 and Brushable Ceramic 11765 (Blue) was used to repair the worn surfaces of this fan blade. The surface area was sandblasted to a SP5 white metal finish and chemically cleaned using Devcon’s Cleaner Blend 300 19510. Titanium Putty was applied to rebuild the areas eroded deeper than 3 mm. After one hours time Brushable Ceramic Blue was applied to encapsulate the Titanium Putty and provide a smooth protective barrier against abrasion.

PROBLEM SUMMARY : Worn slurry pump suction box and casing
SOLUTION : Devcon’s Ceramic Repair Putty 11700 and Brushable Ceramic 11765 (Blue) was used to rebuild this worn slurry pump suction box and casing. The surface area was sandblasted to a SP5 white metal finish and chemically cleaned using Devcon’s Cleaner Blend 300 19510. Ceramic Repair Putty was applied to rebuild the areas eroded deeper than 3 mm. After one hours time Brushable Ceramic Blue was applied to encapsulate the Ceramic Repair Putty and provide a smooth protective barrier against erosion, corrosion and abrasion.
